PUMPKIN COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 sm. can pumpkin
5 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. butter, melted

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and pumpkin. Blend in remaining dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

ICING:

Combine softened cheese, butter, and powdered sugar to the proper consistency. Blend until smooth and ice the cooled cookies.
