FREEZER SLAW | |
1 lg. head cabbage, shredded 1 tsp. salt 3 stalks celery 4 carrots, diced 1 green pepper 1 onion 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. celery seed 1 c. vinegar 2 c. sugar Sprinkle salt over cabbage; let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out liquid. Mix cabbage, carrots, celery, and pepper. Mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil for one minute. Cool. Pour over cabbage mixture and freeze. Slaw is still crisp when defrosted. |
