MEMORY BOOK COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and add sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well and add pecans. Put in two (16 inch) rolls. Wrap in wax paper. Chill 4 hours. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Place on large ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Dough can be frozen 3 months.
