RUM CAKE | |
1 Betty Crocker butter pecan mix 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding 4 eggs 1/2 c. orange juice 1/2 c. salad oil 1/2 c. dark rum Beat in mixing bowl for 4 minutes. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Punch holes in cake immediately. Pour sauce over cake while hot. Allow to stand at least an hour (or overnight) before removing from pan. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar. SAUCE: 1/4 lb. butter 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. water 2 oz. rum Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add rum. Pour over cake while hot. |
