BARBARA'S MACADAMIA NUT COFFEE
CAKE
 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground mace
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. macadamia nut bits
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 egg, beaten

Combine flour, sugar, salt and mace. Cut in butter. Mix half of this mixture with nuts and press into bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan. Mix soda and sour cream; add to remaining half of flour mixture along with beaten egg.

Spread batter evenly in baking pan. Top with a mixture of 1/2 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground mace. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
