PINEAPPLE SQUARES | |
3 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. baking soda Mix all together with a fork like pie dough. Add 1 egg (slightly beaten). Then add 1/4 cup milk. Divide in half and press in 9x13 pan. Second half on top of filling. TO make it easier, press this half out on waxed paper and lay on top of filling. FILLING: 1 can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. cornstarch Cook until thick. Stir all the time. Pour over dough and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Rub powdered sugar on top when done. |
