CAULIFLOWER-BROCCOLI BEEHIVE 
1 med. cauliflower
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1-2 bunches broccoli
2 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

In large batter bowl or smaller electric mixer bowl, alternate layers of flowerets of cauliflower and broccoli (may fill center with cut and peeled stems, if needed). Microwave covered with plastic wrap, about 10-12 minutes. Drain off water, compress well with plate, leaving plate in place, stand 5-10 minutes.

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and spices. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. If mixture seems lumpy, let milk heat, then stir. Stir in cheese until melted. Turn out vegetable onto serving dish and drizzle with sauce. May ring with cherry tomatoes or carrot slices. 4-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
