CAROLE'S GOOD PIE CRUST* | |
1 egg, slightly beaten 1 tsp. white vinegar 7 tbsp. ice water 1 c. Crisco shortening 3 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt *Excellent for fried pies. Blend egg, vinegar and ice water together and set aside. Mix the shortening, flour and salt and blend until crumbly. Add the two mixtures together (if necessary add a few more drops of water) and form a ball. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before rolling out. |
