ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. nuts

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time. Then add dry ingredients, a cup at a time. Add nuts. Roll into rolls. Then place into refrigerator until well chilled. Slice and bake at 350 degrees until slightly browned.
