BAKED CHICKEN 
1 whole chicken, cut up

BATTER:

1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. flour
Pepper to taste

Dip chicken into batter made with egg, milk, flour, salt and pepper.

1 1/4 c. crumbs
1/3 c. melted butter
2 tsp. salt and pepper

Then dip into crumbs mixed with butter, salt and pepper. Place a layer in pan. Preheat oven to 450 degrees; put in oven, uncovered, for 30 minutes. After it is brown, add 1 cup water, cover and bake at 250 degrees for 3 hours. Remove lid for last 1/2 hour of baking.
