WHITE WHISKEY CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 stick margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. dates
1 c. cherries (optional)

Cream together butter, margarine, sugar and eggs. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased, floured tube pan (Bundt pan was used in the testing) and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Orange Whiskey Glaze:

1/2 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup whiskey

Remove from oven and while cake is still hot, mix: 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup of whiskey in a bowl. Pour over cake at once. Cool three hours before removing from pan.
