PASTY 
Pie crust
1 lb. extra lean ground beef
2 c. potatoes, cut up
1 med. onion, diced
2 carrots, diced
1/2 c. rutabaga, cut up
Salt & pepper to taste

Original pasties were made with a round of pie crust with filling placed on 1/2 of it and folded over with edges crimped. I put ingredients into a greased pie pan or casserole dish and use only a top crust. This requires much less pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
