ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 orange
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 c. sour milk (sour with 2 tbsp. vinegar)
1 tsp. baking powder
About 5 1/2 c. flour, sifted

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add juice of the orange, soda and baking powder. Add sour milk and enough flour to make a dough stiff enough to drop by teaspoonfuls. Drop cookies and bake for about 10 or 12 minutes at 350 degrees.

Thin Icing: Use about 1 cup powdered sugar, juice from orange and teaspoon or so grated orange rind with butter to make a thin icing. Spread over cooled cookies with a pastry brush or teaspoon. Decorate with colored sugar.
