AUDRE'S QUICK LASAGNE | |
1 lb. ground beef 3/4 tsp. salt 1 sm. onion, diced 2 tbsp. corn oil or olive 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce 8 oz. lasagne (cooked to directions) 3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 lb. cream style cottage cheese (sm. curd) 4 slices processed Mozzarella cheese 1 c. water 1 tsp. accent 1 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. oregano In skillet, brown beef and onion in oil (heated), breaking up with fork. Gently toss browned beef in with seasonings using fork. Add tomato sauce and water. Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer 20 minutes. Alternate layers of beef mixture, Parmesan cheese and cottage cheese with lasagne ending with beef mixture on top. Bake in 9 x 13 inch baking dish at 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Last 5 minutes cut Mozzarella in half diagonally and arrange on top. 6 to 8 servings. |
