BEEF - VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 c. chopped potato
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped carrot
1 c. chopped celery
2 lbs. stew meat
1 tbsp. salt
Dash pepper
3 c. water
2 tsp. beef base
1 can green beans
1 can corn

In crock place potatoes, onions, carrot, celery. Place beef on top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix water and gravy base; pour over beef. Cook and cover on low for 10 to 12 hours. Turn to high heat setting. Remove beef. Skim off fat; stir in undrained beans and corn. Cover and cook 30 minutes. Stir before serving. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
