NO - COOK DANDY CANDY
2 tbsp. butter (soft)
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 little pinches salt
1 c. confectioners sugar

Rub butter over sides of a bowl; put the corn syrup in the bowl. Add vanilla and the salt; stir and stir, then add all of powdered sugar. Stir again, then rest, stir again. After the sugar is all mixed up, take a handful and squeeze; do it again and again.

Dump everything on a cutting board. Pound it. Squeeze it. Roll it. Take a small piece and roll it between your hands to make a ball as big as a walnut. Put in on a dish and make more balls until you have used the mixture all up.

Cover the candy with plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until chilled. It tastes better cold!

Can ask kids questions about the texture as they are making it. Is the butter soft? How does the mixture feel? Smooth?

This recipe is really kid-friendly. Add brownie mix or juice crystals for flavour!

I've been making this since I was a kid (I'm 36 now). We would always roll it out to a thin rectangle, and spread peanut butter on it. Roll it up, then refrigerate. After an hour or so in the fridge, slide into pinwheels. Almost tastes like fudge!
