2 lbs. ground round steak or hamburger meat 5 slices soft bread, crumbled (trim off crusts) 2 tsp. salt (adjust accordingly if desired) 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 eggs, slightly beaten 2 c. milk 3 tbsp. oil 1 can mushroom soup 1 soup can of water Mix first 6 ingredients together. The mixture will be very soft. Heat oil in skillet and drop meat mixture by teaspoons. This will flatten in hot oil. Brown on each side. Place the browned meat in a buttered casserole dish. Add mushroom soup and water to the drippings in the skillet. Pour this over the contents. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
