OATMEAL CRISP COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 1/4 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Mix all ingredients together and using a teaspoon measuring spoon, drop on a greased cookie sheet. Leave room to spread. Flatten them a little. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Add nuts if wanted---optional.
