BEEF AND NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
1 (5 oz.) pkg. noodles 2 tbsp. butter 1 lg. clove garlic, pressed 1 lb. ground beef 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 2 c. tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 3 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 c. sour cream 1 c. chopped green onions 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese Cook noodles, rinse and drain. In a skillet, melt butter and saute garlic 1 minute. Add meat and brown; drain fat. Add mushrooms, tomato sauce, salt, and sugar. Cook over low heat 20 minutes. In a bowl blend cream cheese, sour cream and onions. Combine meat and cream cheese mixture. In a 1 1/2 quart casserole, layer half noodles, and half meat mixture. Repeat layer and top with cheese. Bake until hot and bubbly, about 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
