SCALLOPED POTATOES WITH CHEESE 
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
4 slices American or Cheddar cheese
4 tbsp. flour
Pepper to your taste
1 med. onion

Melt butter in kettle then add flour and seasoning, add milk and stir. Add cheese and onions. Cook on medium heat until it thickens. Then pour mixture over potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes in covered dish. Uncover and stir then bake 30 more minutes uncovered or until done.
