DIET FRESH APPLE SAUCE 
4-5 McIntosh apples (about 1 lb.) peeled, cored and chunked
3-4 tbsp. lemon juice or 1/4 of a 100mg Ascobric acid tablet, crushed - to keep apples from turning brown
Pinch of salt
Few drops of vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

Process the apple chunks in covered blender with lemon juice or acid tables. Blend in salt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour into bowl and chill. 82 calories per serving. Makes 4 (1/2 cup) servings.
