3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter

Combine eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until thick. Add dry ingredients slowly. Heat milk and butter to boiling point and add slowly to first mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve fresh strawberries or other topping on cake or frost with the following frosting.

FROSTING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cream
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. coconut

Combine all ingredients and spread on cake. Return to oven and bake until topping begins to bubble.
