MARLENE'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
4 qt. boiled and sliced potatoes
1 med. onion, diced
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Pepper, salt, basil and Mrs. Dash to taste
10 slices bacon
1/2 c. vinegar
6 tbsp. sugar

Brown bacon and save bacon grease. Mix sugar, cornstarch and water. Put in pan and add vinegar, bacon, onion and seasonings. Cook until clear. Pour over potatoes. Serve warm or cold.
