HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. chili powder (or less)
1 tsp. garlic salt or powder
1 (8 oz.) pkg. fine egg noodles
1 (10 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1 (10 oz.) can condensed mushroom soup
1 c. water
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Place crumbled ground beef, green pepper and onion in a pot. Cover with lid or paper towel. Microwave for 6 minutes on 100% power. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in chili powder and garlic salt. Stir in noodles, water, tomato and mushroom soups and re-cover.

Microwave for 10 minutes on 100% power, stop and stir. Then microwave 15 to 18 minutes at 50% power or until noodles are cooked. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Cover and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
