My grandmother is from Hungary and this recipes differs greatly from hers. She makes this often in large batches and sends it home with us because it's so good! Her version doesn't have rice. I'm also pretty sure it doesn't have tomatoes. It had red bell peppers, hungarian sweet peppers, and the sausage. It is amazing with a few slices of a good bread. Brings backs tons of memories!

My Nana's lecho is almost like this. She has now passed and I miss her cooking. She does not add green pepper, instead she adds hungarian peppers as well as fresh garlic and she does not put rice in it at all so I may have to try that :) Just to see how it will taste. Last but not least, she has her homemade bread to dip in it to put the perfect touch on it.
