FROSTED SALAD 
1 lg. pkg. lemon Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 c. lemon lime beverage (Mt. Dew is good)
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
3 lg. bananas, sliced

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in carbonated beverage, chill until partially set. Fold pineapple, marshmallows and bananas into Jello. Chill until firm.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. pineapple juice
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. shredded cheese
2 tbsp. butter, if desired
1 container LeCreme, Cool Whip or 1 env. Dream Whip
Maraschino cherries

Combine sugar and flour in saucepan. Stir in pineapple juice and egg. Cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat. Add butter and cool. Fold into whipped cream. Spread on Jello mixture. Garnish with cheese and cherries. Makes a large dish.
