BARBECUED SAUSAGE BALLS 
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. sage
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
Scant tbsp. soy sauce

Combine sausage, egg, bread crumbs and sage. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown slowly in ungreased skillet.

Combine remaining ingredients and add to skillet. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot. These freeze well.

Sausage balls may be browned in 300 degree oven on a cookie sheet, turning occasionally.
