HOT REFRIED BEAN DIP 
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans, drained & mashed
1/2 lb. lean ground beef
3 tbsp. bacon fat (I omit)
1 lb. process American cheese, cubed
1 to 3 tbsp. taco sauce
1 tbsp. taco spice
Garlic salt

In skillet, brown beans and beef in bacon fat. Add to crockpot. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high until cheese melts (about 45 minutes), stirring occasionally. Turn to low until ready to serve, up to 2 hours. Serve with tortilla chips.
