RAISIN CRISSCROSS COOKIES 
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Add remainder of ingredients. Mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls, flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
