DIVINITY CANDY | |
2 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. white Karo 1/2 c. water 2 egg white, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla Nuts Combine first three ingredients in saucepan. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves. When syrup forms firm, but not hard ball in water, add 1/2 of the mixture to egg whites beaten. Put remaining mixture back on stove and let cook until it forms a hard ball when dropped in water. Add to egg whites and beat. Add vanilla and nuts when mixture begins to hold shape. Drop from teaspoon onto waxed paper and let cool. Turn after candy begins to get firm. |
