GREEN PEA & DUMPLINGS 
1 (17 oz.) can sweet peas
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter
1 qt. milk

DUMPLINGS:

1 tsp. salt
3 c. plain flour
2/3 c. Crisco
Enough warm water to make stiff dough

Mix peas, milk, pepper, salt and butter. Bring to rolling boil. Roll out dumpling mixture (should be thin). Drop into pea mixture. After all dumplings are dropped in, turn off heat. Place lid on pot. Let stand 10 minutes. (Cooked and deboned chicken may be added.)
