DOUBLE BOILER ICING | |
1 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 2 egg whites 3 tbsp. water 1 tsp. vanilla Thoroughly combine sugar, salt, cream of tartar, egg whites and water in top of double boiler. Place over rapidly boiling water. Beat constantly with electric mixer until mixture stands in peaks (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat. |
