FROSTED CAULIFLOWER 
Trim head of cauliflower leaving head intact; pierce core with knife several times; rinse. In covered 2 quart dish, place head in microwave (rule of thumb 6 minutes per pound).

BASIC WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter

Melt and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in 1 cup milk, heat stirring occasionally until smooth. Add 4 ounces cheddar cheese, stirring until smooth. Place head of cauliflower in cover for casserole or serving dish. Pour cheese sauce evenly over head; let stand a few minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
