DOG BISCUITS (FOR DOGS) 
1 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. non fat dry milk
1/2 c. quick cook rolled oats
1/3 c. shortening
1 tbsp. instant beef or chicken granules
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. hot water

Combine flour, dry milk, oats, cornmeal and sugar in large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg. stir bouillon crystals into hot water until dissolved. Stir into flour mixture with a fork until moistened. Knead on floured board 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Divide in half. Roll each half to 1/2" thick. Cut out with cookie cutter. Microwave at 50% for 5 to 10 minutes with 6 at a time around a plate. Cook until firm and dry to touch. Rotate plate every 2 minutes while cooking and turn over half way through. Cool on rack. Makes 18.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
