1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. melted shortening or salad oil

Sift dry ingredients. Add soda to sour milk, and mix all ingredients together. Pour small amount into skillet and cook until done on both sides.
