1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup cold water

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Sift first 7 ingredients into ungreased 8x8-inch square pan. Make 3 holes in flour mixture. Place oil in one hole, place vinegar in second hole; pour almond extract in third hole. Pour water over all and mix with fork until blended.

Bake at 350°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
