STRAWBERRY PIE WITH GELATIN 
1 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. strawberry Jello
2 tbsp. white syrup
1 pt. fresh strawberries
1 9" baked pie shell
Whipped cream, optional

Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch. Stir into boiling water. Boil for 1 minute. Immediately add Jello and corn syrup. Cool. Add fresh berries and pour into baked pie shell. Chill about 6 hours or until firm. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
