QUICK BUTTERMILK ROLLS 
4 1/2 c. self rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk (scalding hot)
1/2 c. shortening
2 pkg. dry yeast

Sift together flour and sugar. Add milk and shortening. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Mix with flour mixture, let stand 10 minutes. Knead on floured board. Roll and cut out. Dip in melted butter. Fold over and place on greased pan. Let stand 20-30 minutes. Start oven on 200 degrees until rolls are raised good then turn oven up to 400 degrees until brown. May be baked in muffin pan or clover rolls.
