DEBRA'S COOKIE SALAD 
1 c. buttermilk
1 sm. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 can fruit cocktail or pineapple, crushed, drained
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1/2 pkg. shortbread cookies (with chocolate stripes), crushed
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix buttermilk and vanilla pudding. Add fruit cocktail and Cool Whip to the pudding, stir in the cookies and walnuts. You can add the cookies right away or wait until right before serving. You stir these into the mixture above, add the nuts. Save a few crushed fine cookies to sprinkle on the top plus a few walnuts too.
