BUTTERY FRUIT CAKE 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
8 oz. pkg. soft cream cheese
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. candied fruit mix
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Combine all ingredients except 1 cup flour, candied fruit and walnuts. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (2 to 3 minutes). Stir in remaining flour, fruit and nuts. Pour into 6 greased mini loaf pans (5 1/2" x 3") or 2 regular loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes for mini loaves, 50 to 60 minutes for regular loaves or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Don't over bake. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely.
