HAM - VEGETABLE CHOWDER (Cheese
Soup)
 
3 c. water
4 med. potatoes, cubed
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. sliced carrot
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

CHEESE SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
4 c. shredded cheddar
2 c. cooked ham, cubed
Hot sauce to taste

Cook vegetables in water until tender. Make cheese sauce. Stir into vegetables. Add ham and hot sauce. Heat thoroughly, but do not boil. Serves 12.
