BUTTERNUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring
5 lg. eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and butter together until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, then milk and flour. Pour in a tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. For chocolate cake add 5 tablespoons cocoa.

FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
4 or 5 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. Crisco
5 tbsp. cocoa

Cream Crisco and sugar together. Add milk and cocoa while you cream the Crisco and sugar.
