SOUR CREAM AND CHIVE BREAD 
4 1/2 cups flour
2 pkgs. yeast
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup chives
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Heat sour cream, butter, chives, water until butter melts. When cool, sprinkle yeast and dissolve. Add sugar, salt, beat in 2 eggs. Add flour to make a batter, beat until elastic. Continue to add flour, knead by hand until a dough forms, smooth but not stiff. Place in a greased bowl, cover and rise until double. Punch down, divide into 2 loaves. Knead and shape loaves. Place in greased pans. Let rise double.

Bake until done, (about 50 minutes depending on your oven). Loaf sounds hollow when tapped underneath and an instant read thermometer will reach approximately 195°F at center of loaf.

Remove from pans, cool on wire rack and enjoy.
