SAUSAGE BRAID | |
1 sheet Pepperidge Farm frozen pastry 8 oz. sausage meat 1 sm. onion, finely chopped 1 tsp. chopped parsley 1 tsp. chopped chives 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped 1 egg, beaten Roll out pastry to 12x10 inches. Break up sausage, add onion, parsley and chives. Stir in chopped eggs. Shape into a roll and place along center of center. Cut through pastry on each side diagonally at 1/2 inch intervals. Brush pastry with 1/2 beaten egg. Braid the strips over the filling to completely cover it. Brush with remainder of egg. Bake for 35 minutes at 400 degrees. Equally good hot or cold. |
