TAMALE PIE 
1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
6 c. water
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 lg. green pepper, chopped
3 tsp. chili powder
4 drops Tabasco
2 c. whole kernel corn
1 c. olives
3/4 lb. grated cheese
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. sausage
1 clove garlic, minced
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 c. sliced celery
2 tsp. salt
Dash of cayenne
5 c. canned tomatoes

Mix meal and salt with 2 cups water. Heat remaining 4 cups water to boiling and stir in the meal mixture. Cook stirring constantly until mush begins to thicken, cook over low heat 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Let partly cool.

Brown sausage in large deep skillet. Drain. Add garlic, onions, green peppers and celery; saute 15 minutes. Add salt, chili powder, cayenne, Tabasco sauce, tomatoes and corn, simmer for 15 minutes.

Line bottom and sides of large oiled baking dish with 2/3 of mixture. Fill with meat mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Drop by tablespoon remaining mush. Press ripe olives into each mound. Bake for 1 1/2 hours in a 350 degree oven.
