GRANDMA'S MEATBALLS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 c. saltine cracker crumbs 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 1/2 c. milk 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper Dash oregano Dash Italian seasoning Mix all ingredients with hands in large bowl. Shape into 1" balls and brown on all sides in frying pan. Simmer until done. Variations: Omit oregano and Italian seasoning, and add 1 can cream of mushroom soup and a lid after browning. Or omit seasonings and add 1 1/2 cups water and 1 envelope onion soup mix and 6 quartered potatoes. Place lid on pan and cook until potatoes are fork tender. Thicken pan juices for gravy. |
