POTATO - ONION BAKE | |
2 1/2 lbs. potatoes, pared & sliced 1 c. onion, thinly sliced 1/4 c. butter, melted 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. oregano, crushed 1/8 tsp. thyme, crushed Heat grill. On large sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, alternately layer potatoes and onion. In small bowl, combine next 5 ingredients; pour over potatoes and onion. Bring ends of foil up and over potatoes; seal well. Place on grill 4 inches from heat source or bake 50 to 60 minutes until vegetables are tender. Serves 6. NOTE: To bake, preheat oven to 450 degrees. Layer potatoes and onion in greased 2 1/2 quart casserole. Pour butter mixture over vegetables. Cover and bake 50 to 60 minutes until vegetables are tender. Calories per serving: about 195. Preparation: 15 minutes. Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes. |
