RAISIN PUFF COOKIES | |
1 1/2 c. raisins 1 c. water 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Cook raisins and water for 10 minutes and drain. Save 1 cup of water for your dough, adding a little at a time. Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, baking powder, and salt; add sifted ingredients to creamed mixture. Add raisin mixture. Take 1 tablespoon of dough and roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. |
