BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
6 qts. sliced pickles
6 sliced onions
1 c. salt

Soak 3 hours. Drain, but do not rinse. 6 c. sugar 1/2 c. mustard seed 1 tbsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. turmeric

Bring to a boil. Add drained pickles. Stir until hot, but do not boil. Pack in jars and seal.
