QUICK CORN MUFFINS 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour all-purpose
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease muffin tins. Blend all ingredients. Bake 15-20 minutes. Remove immediately from pan. Serve hot. Makes 12 muffins.
